What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Senior Service's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchisee Disclosure Acknowledgment Statement is used by Caring Senior Service to confirm that the prospective franchisee understands that buying a franchise is a business decision with associated risks. It also confirms that the franchisee isn't relying on unauthorized oral statements or promises made during negotiations that weren't included in the Disclosure Document. This statement helps Caring Senior Service ensure that franchisees are making informed decisions based on the official information provided.
The Franchisee Disclosure Acknowledgment Statement is not applicable to communications between the prospective franchisee and a transferring franchisee if the prospective franchisee is purchasing an existing Caring Senior Service franchise. The statement focuses on representations made by Caring Senior Service employees, authorized representatives, or brokers acting on their behalf.
This acknowledgment is a standard practice in franchising, intended to protect both the franchisor and franchisee. It ensures that the franchisee has received and understood the FDD, and that they are not basing their investment decision on unverified claims. However, the document states that the compliance questionnaire and its responses are void as to franchisees in California, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
