What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Senior Service's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may bear the costs associated with the evaluation of a proposed supplier. Specifically, if a franchisee wishes to purchase items from a supplier not already approved by Caring Senior Service, they must request approval from the franchisor.
Caring Senior Service has the right to inspect the facilities of the proposed supplier and may require product samples. These samples can be sent either directly to Caring Senior Service or to an independent entity designated by them for testing and evaluation. This process, including the final decision on approval or rejection, is expected to be completed within 30 days of submission.
Importantly, Caring Senior Service retains the right to demand reimbursement from the franchisee for any expenses incurred during the inspection or evaluation of the potential supplier. However, Caring Senior Service is under no obligation to approve any supplier suggested by the franchisee. This policy ensures that Caring Senior Service maintains control over the quality and standards of products used within its franchise system, while also placing the financial burden of supplier evaluation on the franchisee.
