What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Senior Service's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the median gross margin for all franchisee offices in 2024 was 50.12%. This figure is based on data from 40 Caring Senior Service franchisee office locations that were open and operating during the full 2024 calendar year. The FDD also provides median gross margins for specific subsets of franchisees.
For the 24 Caring Senior Service franchisee offices that met the minimum required staffing levels, the median gross margin was 50.41%. For the two franchisee offices with their first full 12 months of operations in 2024, the median gross margin was 46.98%. For the two franchisee offices with their second full 12 months of operations in 2024, the median gross margin was 57.73%.
It's important to note that gross margin is calculated as Gross Billings, less Caregiver Pay expenses, divided by Gross Billings. Gross Billings does not include billed amounts for products sold to clients, and Caregiver Pay expenses exclude the employer's portion of payroll taxes and workers' compensation. These figures do not reflect costs of sales, costs of goods, operating expenses, or other costs that must be deducted to obtain a net income or net profit figure. Prospective franchisees should conduct their own independent investigation of costs and expenses they may incur.
