How can a Caring Senior Service franchisee provide notice to extend the Development Period?

Caring_Senior_Service Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

On written notice to us, which notice may be provided via email to our Chief Operating Officer, you have the right to extend each Development Period for a period of six months, provided, however, that each Development Period may only be extended by one period of six months ("Extension Period").

If written notice is not provided, and you have not executed a franchise agreement and opened an additional Franchised Business within a selected Development Territory by the end of any Development Period, this Addendum will expire per its terms.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Caring Senior Service's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can extend each Development Period by providing written notice to the franchisor. This notice can be sent via email to the Chief Operating Officer. Each Development Period can be extended for a period of six months, but only one extension is allowed per period.

If the franchisee fails to provide written notice and does not execute a franchise agreement or open an additional Franchised Business within a selected Development Territory by the end of any Development Period, the Development Addendum will expire according to its terms.

This means that a Caring Senior Service franchisee needs to be proactive in communicating their intentions to extend the development period to the franchisor, and must adhere to the notification process to avoid losing their development rights.
