What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Senior Service's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise fee and development fee are generally non-refundable. Specifically, Item 7 notes that the franchise fee covers the initial requirement of computer software and initial supplies of forms and materials, including business cards, letterheads, envelopes, brochures, and a management package.
The document also states that if a franchisee signs a Development Addendum, they will pay a Development Fee for each territory they reserve. This fee will be credited towards the Franchise Fee due under the reserved territory's franchise agreement, as long as the franchisee enters into a franchise agreement for each reserved territory.
Therefore, a prospective Caring Senior Service franchisee should be aware that the initial franchise fee of $49,000, as well as any development fees ranging from $20,000 to $60,000 for one to three additional territories, are non-refundable. This is a standard practice in franchising, as these fees compensate the franchisor for granting the franchise rights and providing initial support and training.
