Does Caring Senior Service consult with franchisees regarding the development of their Franchised Business?

Pre-Opening Obligations: Before you open your Franchised Business, we will:

  1. Consult with you on the location for your Franchised Business, which must be approved by us (Franchise Agreement – Section 3.2).
    1. Consult with you regarding the development of your Franchised Business, including lists and specifications of approved equipment and signs needed to outfit your Business in accordance with our uniform image and standards (Franchise Agreement – Sections 4.1 and 4.2).
    1. Lend you one copy of the Operations Manual in digital format (Franchise Agreement Section 11.1). This Manual remains our property.
    1. Train up to three people, the cost of which is included in your initial franchise fee (Franchise Agreement – Section 7.2). The trainees will travel to participate in our in-person initial training program, unless the initial training program must be provided wholly remotely for reasons outside of our control. The initial training program is described in detail later in this Item.

Continuing Obligations: During the operation of your Franchised Business, we will:

    1. Provide guidance and assistance in the operation of your Franchised Business. This guidance may be provided in the form of periodic correspondence, field visits and telephone or written communications (including e-mail or through a password protected portion of our Website), and will cover topics such as products or services to be offered to clients; improvements and developments in your Franchised Business; pricing; administrative, bookkeeping, accounting and inventory control procedures; and operating problems encountered by you (Franchise Agreement – Section 8.1).
    1. During your first 16 weeks of operation, we will conduct online video conferences on a weekly basis to discuss your operations and to assist you with any questions you may have (Franchise Agreement – Section 7.2).
    1. With respect to your first Franchised Business, at no additional charge to you, we will send one of our representatives to your Franchised Business for at least two days to review your operational experience and to answer any questions. If you are purchasing your second or additional Franchised Business, you must request that we provide this assistance (Franchise Agreement – Section 7.2).

Specifically, before a franchisee opens their Caring Senior Service business, Caring Senior Service will consult with them regarding the development of their franchised business, including lists and specifications of approved equipment and signs needed to outfit their business in accordance with Caring Senior Service's uniform image and standards.

Caring Senior Service also provides ongoing guidance and assistance in the operation of the franchised business. This support includes periodic correspondence, field visits, and telephone or written communications, covering topics such as products or services, improvements and developments, pricing, administrative procedures, and operating problems. During the first 16 weeks of operation, Caring Senior Service conducts weekly online video conferences to discuss operations and address any questions.

Additionally, Caring Senior Service has established a National Advisory Council (NAC) composed of both franchisees and Caring Senior Service representatives. The NAC advises Caring Senior Service on matters relating to the Caring Senior Service system and businesses, including advertising and exploring new methods to improve the brand. However, the NAC's role is advisory, and it does not have final decision-making authority.
