What is the condition for a Caring Senior Service franchisee to acquire development rights?

In certain circumstances, we will offer to you the right to acquire development rights under the Development Addendum attached as Exhibit L to our form of Franchise Agreement (the "Development Addendum") to purchase the right to develop additional Franchised Businesses in agreed-upon territories contiguous to your assigned Territory under your first Franchise Agreement (the "Development Territories"). We will mutually agree-upon the additional Development Territories to be purchased before you sign the Development Addendum and they will be included in the Development Agreement. Under the Development Addendum, at least once every 15 months you must enter into our then-current form of franchise agreement for the chosen Development Territory and establish and operate a Franchised Business in that Development Territory.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Caring Senior Service's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may have the opportunity to acquire development rights to open additional Caring Senior Service franchises in territories adjacent to their existing territory. These development rights are outlined in the Development Addendum, which is included as Exhibit L to the Franchise Agreement.
To obtain these development rights, Caring Senior Service requires mutual agreement on the specific Development Territories to be purchased. These territories will be defined before the franchisee signs the Development Addendum and will be detailed in the Development Agreement.
The Development Addendum stipulates that the franchisee must enter into Caring Senior Service's current franchise agreement for each chosen Development Territory at least once every 15 months. Furthermore, the franchisee is obligated to establish and operate a Franchised Business within that Development Territory. This ensures continued expansion and operation of Caring Senior Service franchises within the agreed-upon development areas.
