What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Care Plus Medical UCC's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Care Plus Medical UCC may charge a franchisee for inspections under specific circumstances. If an inspection is conducted due to a governmental report, a customer complaint, or other customer feedback, Care Plus Medical UCC can charge the franchisee. Additionally, if the inspection is a result of a franchisee's default or non-compliance with any System Standard, including following up on a previously failed inspection, the franchisee may be charged.
This means that franchisees who maintain compliance with Care Plus Medical UCC's standards and avoid issues that trigger external complaints or reports are less likely to incur inspection fees. It also incentivizes franchisees to promptly address any deficiencies identified in previous inspections to avoid follow-up inspections at their expense.
The charges can include all out-of-pocket expenses incurred by Care Plus Medical UCC, as well as their then-current inspection fee. This could potentially add a significant cost for the franchisee, depending on the nature and extent of the inspection required. Franchisees should, therefore, prioritize adherence to System Standards and address any issues promptly to minimize the risk of incurring these charges.
It is important for prospective franchisees to understand the full scope of potential inspection fees and the specific triggers that could lead to these charges. This information can help them better manage their operations and budget effectively. Franchisees should request clarification from Care Plus Medical UCC regarding the typical range of out-of-pocket expenses and the current inspection fee to have a clear understanding of the potential financial impact.
