What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Care Plus Medical Ucc's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, while the company offers ongoing advice and support to franchisees after their business opens, there are specific circumstances under which Care Plus Medical Ucc may charge a fee for this assistance.
Specifically, if a franchisee requests in-person support, Care Plus Medical Ucc may charge its current fee for providing such support. In addition to the service fee, the franchisee will also be responsible for covering any out-of-pocket expenses incurred by Care Plus Medical Ucc employees while providing the on-site support. These expenses include costs related to travel, lodging, and meals.
This policy is fairly standard in the franchise industry, as franchisors often charge for extensive on-site support beyond the initial opening period to cover their costs. Franchisees should be aware of these potential charges and factor them into their operating budget, especially if they anticipate needing significant in-person assistance from Care Plus Medical Ucc after the initial opening phase.
