Care_Plus_Medical_Ucc Franchise · 2024 FDDAnswer from 2024 FDD Document
Training classes will be scheduled in accordance with the needs of new franchisees. We anticipate holding training classes in advance of the opening of the franchisee's location, doing so remotely, at a corporate location, and at the franchisee's location once sufficient build-out has been completed and close to being open, as elaborated on in the additional questions below. This may change as we start to bring on more franchisees.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Care Plus Medical Ucc's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, training classes are scheduled based on the needs of new franchisees. Care Plus Medical Ucc anticipates holding training classes remotely, at a corporate location, and at the franchisee's location once sufficient build-out has been completed and close to being open. The FDD indicates that this schedule may change as Care Plus Medical Ucc brings on more franchisees.
The training program includes classroom and on-the-job training. The classroom training totals 56 hours, while on-the-job training accounts for 84 hours. These hours cover various subjects, including introduction and opening, build out, construction, permitting and licensing, technology and systems, equipment and supplies, management and operations, and marketing and promotions. The training location is either at Care Plus Medical Ucc's location in Carson, CA, or at the franchisee's location.
Prospective franchisees must complete training to Care Plus Medical Ucc's satisfaction at least four weeks before opening their business. Franchisees are also required to pass a test evaluating their understanding of the training content. Failure to pass the test or complete the initial training gives Care Plus Medical Ucc the right to terminate the franchise agreement with no refund of the initial franchise fee. The FDD states that up to 4 people may attend training at no cost, but the franchisee must cover their travel and living expenses. If a new general manager needs training, Care Plus Medical Ucc charges a fee, currently $450 per day for a 6-hour session.
