What is the purpose of Care Plus Medical Ucc licensing the Marks and the System to the Franchisee?

According to Care Plus Medical Ucc's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the purpose of Care Plus Medical Ucc licensing the Marks and the System to the franchisee is to enable the franchisee to develop and operate a Care Plus Medical business under the terms and conditions outlined in the Franchise Agreement. Care Plus Medical Ucc and its affiliate, Care Plus Medical Group, created and own a system for walk-in urgent medical care services and telemedicine under the trade name "Care Plus Medical".

The "System" encompasses various elements, including methods, procedures, and standards for operating a Care Plus Medical business, plans, specifications, equipment, signage, trade dress, particular products and services, the Marks, training programs, business knowledge, and marketing plans. By licensing the Marks and the System, Care Plus Medical Ucc grants the franchisee the right to use the Care Plus Medical brand and operational methods to establish and run their own Care Plus Medical business.

This arrangement allows the franchisee to benefit from Care Plus Medical Ucc's established brand recognition, operational expertise, and support systems. However, the franchisee must adhere to the terms and conditions of the Franchise Agreement and the System Standards set by Care Plus Medical Ucc. This includes using the Marks in the manner required by Care Plus Medical Ucc and complying with any changes or modifications to the System implemented by Care Plus Medical Ucc.
