What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Care Plus Medical Ucc's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Care Plus Medical Ucc will provide operational instructions in the Brand Standards Manual that franchisees can use as part of training new employees. Care Plus Medical Ucc also offers suggested staffing levels and guidelines for hiring employees. Additionally, Care Plus Medical Ucc's opening support includes assisting franchisees in training their employees. However, all hiring decisions and conditions of employment remain the sole responsibility of the franchisee.

Care Plus Medical Ucc's training program includes an Onboarding Checklist with links to written procedures, training videos, and Knowledge Reviews, which are automatically graded. There is also a shadowing/coaching checklist and approval process. Additional training material will be provided for higher-level functions required of the franchisee, owner/operator, or manager. Training classes are led by the franchisor or its delegates and may include self-directed learning using pre-recorded materials.

The initial training program consists of both classroom and on-the-job training. The subjects covered include introduction and opening, build out, construction, permitting and licensing, technology and systems, equipment and supplies, management and operations, and marketing and promotions. The total training hours consist of 56 hours of classroom training and 84 hours of on-the-job training, held at Our Location, Carson, CA or Your Location.

Franchisees must attend training, and up to four people can attend without a fee, though travel and living expenses are the franchisee's responsibility. Franchisees must complete training to Care Plus Medical Ucc's satisfaction at least four weeks before opening their business and pass a test. Failure to pass the test or complete the training may result in termination of the franchise agreement without a refund of the initial franchise fee. The business must be supervised on-site by the franchisee or a general manager who has completed the training program. A fee of $450 per day is charged for sending a new general manager to the training program.
