What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Care Plus Medical Ucc's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, when a franchisee desires to purchase a particular input from a vendor that is not an approved or required vendor, Care Plus Medical Ucc has the right to conduct inspections as part of the approval process. Specifically, Care Plus Medical Ucc may condition its approval of an alternate vendor on criteria it deems appropriate, including inspections.

This means that while Care Plus Medical Ucc is not obligated to inspect all vendor facilities, it reserves the right to do so when a franchisee seeks approval for an alternate vendor. These inspections are part of a broader evaluation that may also include assessing the vendor's capacity, quality, financial stability, reputation, reliability, product testing, and performance reviews.

For a prospective Care Plus Medical Ucc franchisee, this indicates that if they wish to use a vendor not already approved by Care Plus Medical Ucc, they must go through an approval process that could involve inspections of the vendor's facilities. The franchisee may need to provide information, specifications, and samples requested by Care Plus Medical Ucc to facilitate this evaluation. The franchisee will receive written notification of approval or disapproval within 30 days of submitting the request.
