What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Care Plus Medical Ucc's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company can require franchisees to remodel their locations, but not more than once every five years. This five-year period is calculated from the completion date of the previous remodel.

This means a prospective Care Plus Medical Ucc franchisee should anticipate the possibility of undertaking a significant remodel of their location at least once every five years. Franchisees must complete the remodel within the timeframe that Care Plus Medical Ucc specifies. Furthermore, Care Plus Medical Ucc may require franchisees to submit remodel plans for approval before starting any work.

It is important to note that Care Plus Medical Ucc will not require a remodel during the first two or last two years of the franchise term, unless it is a condition for renewal or transfer of the franchise agreement. This provides some stability during the initial setup and towards the end of the franchise term, allowing franchisees to focus on operations without the added burden of remodeling costs. Franchisees should carefully consider the potential costs and disruptions associated with required remodels when evaluating the Care Plus Medical Ucc franchise opportunity.
