What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Care Plus Medical Ucc Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Location' is initially determined by the franchisee finding a potential site within their designated Development Area, as outlined on the Summary Page. The franchisee must then submit this proposed location to Care Plus Medical Ucc for approval, including any related information requested by the company. Care Plus Medical Ucc has 30 days to either accept or reject the proposed location in writing; failure to respond within this timeframe results in automatic rejection.
Upon acceptance of the location, Care Plus Medical Ucc will issue a Location Acceptance Letter, which specifies both the Location and the Territory granted to the franchisee. The Territory is determined by Care Plus Medical Ucc in its discretion, generally following the guidelines in Item 12 of the Franchise Disclosure Document. If Care Plus Medical Ucc does not define the Territory in writing within 60 days after the business opens, the Territory defaults to the zip code of the franchised location and the surrounding zip codes, encompassing a total population of 100,000.
The Franchise Agreement stipulates that the franchisee must develop, open, and operate a Care Plus Medical Ucc business at the designated Location for the entire term of the agreement. It is important to note that Care Plus Medical Ucc's approval or advice regarding a site does not constitute a guarantee of the business's success, and Care Plus Medical Ucc assumes no liability related to the location's performance. The franchisee is also responsible for constructing or remodeling the Location to meet Care Plus Medical Ucc's System Standards, potentially requiring the engagement of a licensed architect if mandated by Care Plus Medical Ucc.
