Specifically, the FDD states that the franchisee must pay the total initial franchise fee to Care Plus Medical UCC upon signing the MUDA. This fee is non-refundable.

For franchisees entering into a Multi-Unit Development Agreement, this means that the initial franchise fee for the first store is due when both parties sign the MUDA. For each additional Care Plus Medical franchise under the MUDA, the franchisee must execute Care Plus Medical UCC's standard franchise agreement within three business days after leasing or acquiring a location. However, the California Addendum notes a fee deferral condition for California franchisees, where the collection of initial fees is deferred until all pre-opening obligations are completed and the unit is open for business.

Prospective franchisees should note that the MUDA does not grant the right to immediately construct, open, or operate a Care Plus Medical business.
