What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Care Plus Medical Ucc Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have sole responsibility for all hiring decisions and conditions of employment. While Care Plus Medical Ucc will provide suggested staffing levels and guidelines for hiring employees, as well as operational instructions in the Brand Standards Manual that can be used as part of training new employees, the franchisee is ultimately responsible for all employment-related matters.

This means the franchisee is responsible for complying with all applicable labor laws, including those related to wages, hours, working conditions, and anti-discrimination. The franchisee must also handle all aspects of the employment relationship, such as recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating employees.

Prospective Care Plus Medical Ucc franchisees should carefully consider the implications of being solely responsible for employment matters. This includes the time and resources required to manage employees, as well as the potential legal and financial risks associated with employment-related claims. Franchisees may want to consult with legal and human resources professionals to ensure they are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
