What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Care Plus Medical Ucc's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is not automatically entitled to the same System Standard variations or waivers that Care Plus Medical Ucc may grant to other franchisees. Care Plus Medical Ucc retains the right to vary or waive System Standards for individual franchises based on specific factors. These factors include the peculiarities of a site, local circumstances, population density, business potential, trade area demographics, existing business practices, applicable laws and regulations, or any other condition relevant to the performance of a franchise.

This means that a Care Plus Medical Ucc franchisee cannot assume they will receive the same exceptions to standard operating procedures as another franchisee. The franchisor has the discretion to tailor requirements based on the unique characteristics of each location and its operating environment. This could impact various aspects of the business, from marketing strategies to operational protocols, depending on the specific waivers granted.

For a prospective Care Plus Medical Ucc franchisee, this highlights the importance of understanding the specific conditions and requirements applicable to their location. It also emphasizes the need to discuss potential System Standard variations with Care Plus Medical Ucc during the due diligence process. While the franchisor may grant waivers, these are not guaranteed and depend on the franchisor's assessment of the franchisee's specific circumstances.
