What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Care Plus Medical Ucc Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee fails to de-identify their location after the termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, Care Plus Medical Ucc has the right to enter the location and remove any branding.
Specifically, the FDD states that Care Plus Medical Ucc will not be considered a trespasser nor be held accountable or required to pay for any assets removed or altered during the de-identification process. Furthermore, Care Plus Medical Ucc is not responsible for any damage caused during this process.
This clause protects Care Plus Medical Ucc from liability in the event that they need to enter a former franchisee's location to remove branding and de-identify the premises, which is a fairly standard practice in franchising to protect brand consistency and integrity.
