What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Care Plus Medical Ucc's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Effective Date' marks the commencement of the franchise agreement. The Franchise Agreement states that it is effective as of the date signed by Care Plus Medical UCC. This date is significant because it officially binds both Care Plus Medical UCC and the franchisee to the terms and conditions outlined in the agreement.
The agreement's term, as detailed in Article 3.1, begins on the Effective Date and continues for 10 years. This means that all rights, responsibilities, and obligations of both parties, including the franchisee's right to operate a Care Plus Medical business, are active from this date forward, subject to the terms and conditions of the agreement.
Furthermore, the Maryland Rider to the Franchise Agreement also references the Effective Date, indicating that the rider itself becomes effective on the same date as the main agreement. This ensures that any state-specific amendments or provisions are integrated into the agreement from its inception. Therefore, the Effective Date is a critical reference point for determining the duration and applicability of the franchise agreement and its associated riders.
