You cannot relocate the Card My Yard business under any circumstances without our consent, and our consent will only be granted if your Location is your home and you move to a new residence within your existing Protected Area. Such a request must be submitted to us as soon as possible (but in no event longer than 10 days) after the date you discover you will be unable to continue the operation of the Card My Yard business at the Location.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Card My Yard's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees generally must operate the business at an approved location. The FDD anticipates that most franchisees will operate from their homes. However, if a franchisee chooses to operate from a site other than their home, they must select a site within a Designated Search Area agreed upon with Card My Yard.
Relocation of the Card My Yard business is restricted. A franchisee cannot relocate the business without Card My Yard's consent. Consent for relocation is only granted if the franchisee's initial location is their home and they move to a new residence within their existing Protected Area.
If a franchisee's home-based Card My Yard business moves within the Protected Area, they must submit a relocation request to Card My Yard as soon as possible, and no later than 10 days after discovering they can no longer operate the business at the original location. This policy ensures Card My Yard maintains control over where its franchises operate, protecting territorial rights and brand consistency.
