What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Card My Yard's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Card My Yard has the right to terminate any advertising cooperative that they establish. The FDD states that Card My Yard may designate geographic areas with two or more company-owned or franchised businesses as a region for establishing an advertising cooperative.

If Card My Yard establishes a cooperative, it will be organized and governed as, and begin operation on a date that Card My Yard determines. The advertising cooperative will focus on administering advertising programs and developing promotional materials for local advertising, operating solely as a channel for collecting and spending advertising contributions.

Card My Yard retains the authority to terminate any cooperative at their discretion, provided they give written notice to franchisees. If a cooperative is established in an area that includes a franchisee's protected area, the franchisee is required to contribute a monthly amount as defined in the cooperative's governing documents and must participate as a member.
