What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Card My Yard's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a disagreement arises between Card My Yard and a franchisee that cannot be resolved through an initial face-to-face meeting, the disagreement must be submitted to nonbinding mediation. The face-to-face meeting must occur within 30 days after one party gives written notice to the other.

The mediation itself must begin 30 days after the face-to-face meeting. During mediation, either party may be represented by counsel and bring relevant individuals with the mediator's permission.

The costs associated with attending the mediation are borne individually by each party, while the cost of the mediator is split equally between Card My Yard and the franchisee. If mediation fails to resolve the issue, the dispute will be submitted to binding arbitration.
