What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Card My Yard's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must pay a renewal fee of $3,000 if they choose to renew their franchise agreement. The franchisee has the option to renew for up to three additional terms, each lasting five years.
However, to be eligible for renewal, the Card My Yard franchisee must meet several conditions. These include providing written notice of their intent to renew at least six months but no more than nine months before the end of the current term. They must also ensure that they, along with their affiliates, are not in default of the Franchise Agreement or any other agreements with Card My Yard.
Additionally, the franchisee must have substantially complied with all terms and conditions of their agreements and satisfied all monetary obligations owed to Card My Yard and its affiliates. They must also present evidence that they have the right to remain at the franchise location or obtain Card My Yard's consent for a new site. The franchisee will need to execute the then-current form of the renewal franchise agreement and comply with Card My Yard's current qualification and training requirements. Finally, the franchisee and their owners must execute a general release of claims against Card My Yard.
