Card_My_Yard Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
The Franchise Agreement requires you to designate a "Principal Owner." Your Principal Owner is the main individual responsible for your business. Your Principal Owner must meet our qualifications and must be approved by us. Your current and future owners, including your Principal Owner, must sign a Guaranty and Assumption Agreement ("Guaranty"), guaranteeing your performance and binding themselves individually to certain provisions of the Franchise Agreement, including the covenants against competition and disclosure of confidential information, restrictions on transfer and dispute resolution procedures.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Card My Yard's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchise Agreement requires franchisees to designate a 'Principal Owner'. This individual is the primary person responsible for managing the Card My Yard business.
The Principal Owner must meet Card My Yard's qualifications and receive their approval. This suggests that Card My Yard has specific criteria for who can hold this key role, likely to ensure competent management and adherence to brand standards. Prospective franchisees should inquire about these qualifications to ensure they or their designated Principal Owner meet the requirements.
Furthermore, the Principal Owner, along with all other current and future owners, must sign a Guaranty and Assumption Agreement. This agreement legally binds them to the Franchise Agreement's terms, including non-competition clauses, confidentiality, transfer restrictions, and dispute resolution processes. This ensures that all owners are personally liable for upholding the franchise agreement, protecting Card My Yard's interests and brand integrity.
