"Computer System" means the computer hardware and software (including, without limitation, back office software and point-of-sale software meeting ourspecifications and point-of-sale terminals that we may designate from time to time for use in the operation of Card My Yard businesses.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Card My Yard's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Computer System includes the computer hardware and software required to operate a Card My Yard franchise. This includes back office software, point-of-sale software meeting Card My Yard's specifications, and any point-of-sale terminals that Card My Yard may designate for use in the business.
Card My Yard may modify the specifications and components of the Computer System, potentially requiring franchisees to purchase, lease, or license new or modified hardware and software, and to obtain service and support. Franchisees are responsible for these costs, which may not be fully amortizable over the remaining term of the agreement. Franchisees must obtain the required Computer System components within 60 days of receiving notice from Card My Yard.
Card My Yard has the right to charge a reasonable systems fee for software or system modifications and enhancements specifically made for them, as well as for maintenance and support services provided by Card My Yard or its affiliates. Franchisees must also install and maintain the hardware and software needed to access the Internet at the speed required by Card My Yard. Franchisees are restricted from establishing any unauthorized websites or online listings related to the Card My Yard business without prior written approval from Card My Yard.
