What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Card My Yard's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if there is a disagreement regarding the content of the Card My Yard Manuals, the master copy located at Card My Yard's offices will be the controlling version. This means that Card My Yard franchisees must adhere to the specifications, procedures, and rules outlined in the master copy of the manuals maintained by the franchisor. These manuals are considered part of the Franchise Agreement.
This clause ensures that Card My Yard maintains a consistent standard across all franchise locations. It also places the responsibility on the franchisee to stay updated with any changes or modifications made to the manuals. Since the manuals are provided in electronic format, franchisees should ensure they have a reliable system for accessing and referencing the most current version.
For a prospective franchisee, this highlights the importance of maintaining open communication with Card My Yard regarding any uncertainties or discrepancies in the manuals. It also underscores the need to promptly incorporate any updates or modifications communicated by the franchisor to ensure compliance and consistency with the Card My Yard system.
