What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Card My Yard's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, once Card My Yard accepts your chosen site and you formally acquire it, the site's address will be officially recorded on Exhibit C of the Franchise Agreement. This address will be recognized as the Franchise Location. Furthermore, Exhibit C will also contain a detailed description of the Protected Area that surrounds your Franchise Location.

This delineation of the Franchise Location and Protected Area is a crucial step in solidifying your rights and responsibilities as a Card My Yard franchisee. It establishes the physical base of your operations and defines the geographic area within which you are granted certain protections. This ensures that Card My Yard and its affiliates will not establish or authorize another Card My Yard business within your Protected Area during the term of your agreement, subject to your compliance with the agreement's terms and minimum gross sales requirements.

It's important to note that while the Protected Area offers a degree of exclusivity, it is not absolute. Card My Yard retains certain rights within the area, and if you are unable to fulfill all service requests or mark yourself as unavailable, Card My Yard or other franchisees may provide services to consumers within your Protected Area. Therefore, understanding the specifics outlined in Exhibit C regarding the Protected Area is essential for managing your business expectations and potential competition.
