What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Card My Yard Franchise Disclosure Document, several factors can influence the general release required upon renewal of the franchise agreement.

First, a franchisee must not be in default of the existing franchise agreement or any other agreement with Card My Yard or its affiliates. This includes timely compliance with all terms and conditions of such agreements. Second, all monetary obligations owed to Card My Yard and its affiliates must be satisfied. Third, the franchisee needs to present satisfactory evidence of their right to remain in possession of the franchise location for the entire renewal term or obtain Card My Yard's consent for a new site.

Additionally, the franchisee must execute Card My Yard's then-current form of renewal franchise agreement, which will supersede the original agreement and may have differing terms. The fees on renewal, however, will not be greater than those imposed on similarly situated renewing franchisees. Finally, the franchisee and their owners must execute a general release of any and all claims against Card My Yard, its affiliates, and their respective personnel. Compliance with Card My Yard's then-current qualification and training requirements is also mandatory for renewal.
