You further acknowledge that you have read this Agreement and our franchise disclosure document and that you understand the terms of this Agreement and accept them as being reasonably necessary for us to maintain the uniformity of Card My Yard businesses and to protect the goodwill of the Marks and the integrity of the System.
- (2) You have conducted an independent investigation of the business contemplated by this Agreement and recognize that an investment in a Card My Yard business involves business risks; that your success is largely dependent on your own abilities and efforts; and that the nature of Card My Yard businesses may change over time.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Card My Yard's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees acknowledge the importance of maintaining uniformity across all Card My Yard businesses. This includes complying with all standards and specifications related to the operation of the business. Franchisees agree to conduct their Card My Yard business in accordance with the manuals and other written directives issued by Card My Yard to protect the reputation and goodwill of the Card My Yard system and maintain high operational standards under the Card My Yard marks.
To maintain the Card My Yard business, franchisees must keep the business in good repair and sanitation, making necessary additions, alterations, repairs, and replacements as required. This includes repainting or replacing signs, furnishings, décor, and equipment as directed by Card My Yard. Franchisees are also responsible for obtaining any new or additional equipment, fixtures, supplies, and other materials required to offer new services or products. Any alterations or changes to the design, equipment, signs, or décor of the Card My Yard business must receive prior written approval from Card My Yard.
Card My Yard may also request that franchisees make improvements, renovations, updates, and upgrades to conform to the then-current standards and specifications. These capital improvements may be required on or after the second anniversary of the opening date, or at another time during the term of the Franchise Agreement, if a majority of Card My Yard businesses have made or are utilizing best efforts to make such improvements. This ensures that all Card My Yard locations maintain a consistent brand image and service quality.
