Where can I find the description of the Card My Yard Protected Area?

According to Card My Yard's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the description of the Protected Area is found in Exhibit C of the Franchise Agreement. After Card My Yard accepts the franchisee's site and the franchisee acquires it, the address of the site will be entered on Exhibit C as the Franchise Location, and the Protected Area around that location will also be described in Exhibit C.

Before acquiring a site that is not the franchisee's primary residence, the franchisee must submit a description of the site and evidence that it satisfies Card My Yard's site selection guidelines. The franchisee must also provide any other information and materials that Card My Yard may reasonably require, including a final, complete copy of the lease (which must incorporate a rider in substantially the form attached as Exhibit F) or contract of sale for the site.

The rights granted to the franchisee under the Franchise Agreement are nonexclusive. Card My Yard and its affiliates retain all rights within and outside the Protected Area except those expressly granted to the franchisee. Card My Yard can operate or license others to operate Card My Yard businesses at any location outside the Protected Area, including locations adjacent to or surrounded by the Protected Area. Card My Yard can also develop other business systems (including those distributing similar products or services) using other names or marks within and outside the Protected Area.
