What This Means (2025 FDD)

Based on the 2025 Card My Yard Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor reserves the right to defer, reduce, or suspend contributions to the marketing fund. They can also suspend operations of the fund for any length of time and even terminate and reinstate the fund.

Card My Yard must provide franchisees with 30 days' prior written notice before deferring, reducing, or suspending contributions to the fund, or suspending or terminating its operations. If the fund is terminated, all unspent monies will be distributed to the contributors in proportion to their contributions during the 12 months before termination.

This clause provides Card My Yard with considerable flexibility in managing the marketing fund, which could impact the marketing support franchisees receive. Prospective franchisees should consider the potential for these changes and how they might affect their local marketing efforts and overall business strategy.
