What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Card My Yard's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, contributions to a cooperative advertising program will not count towards fulfilling the local advertising requirements. The FDD specifies that these cooperative contributions are separate from the local advertising obligations outlined in Section IX.A of the agreement.
Card My Yard franchisees are required to spend specific amounts on local advertising within their protected area. These amounts are $300 during the first 12 months, $500 in months 13-24, and $800 annually thereafter. In addition to these spending requirements, franchisees must also post at least 5 promotional messages each week on both Facebook and Instagram.
Card My Yard also has the option to establish a marketing program fund, and franchisee contributions to this fund are also separate from the local advertising requirements. However, any amounts that a franchisee spends to place or implement advertising created by the Fund in their local or regional market will be credited towards their local advertising obligations under Section IX.A.
