What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Card My Yard's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, before starting any construction on the Card My Yard business, a franchisee must provide written certification to Card My Yard. This certification confirms that the franchisee has obtained all necessary approvals, clearances, permits, licenses, and certifications required for the lawful construction, remodeling, and operation of the Card My Yard business.

In addition to confirming the acquisition of necessary permits, the written certification must also verify that the franchisee has secured the insurance coverage mandated by the Franchise Agreement and that this insurance coverage is currently active and in full effect. This dual confirmation serves to assure Card My Yard that the franchisee has met all legal and contractual obligations before commencing operations.

This requirement ensures that Card My Yard franchisees are operating legally and safely, protecting both the franchisee and the Card My Yard brand from potential liabilities or legal issues. It is a standard practice in franchising to ensure compliance with local regulations and maintain brand integrity.
