What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Card My Yard's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, upon termination of the franchise agreement, the franchisee is generally responsible for delivering all branded materials back to Card My Yard. However, the FDD stipulates that Card My Yard will bear the cost of this delivery. Specifically, the franchisee must promptly deliver all branded materials, signs purchased from Card My Yard, and other related materials within ten business days.

This means that while the franchisee is responsible for packing and preparing the materials for shipment, Card My Yard will cover the actual shipping expenses. This arrangement helps to ensure that all branded materials are returned to Card My Yard's possession for proper handling and prevents unauthorized use of the brand after the franchise agreement ends.

This condition applies to all terminations or expirations of the franchise agreement, regardless of the reason for termination. It is important for prospective franchisees to understand this obligation, as it requires them to organize and return all relevant materials promptly and in good condition, although the financial burden of shipping these items falls on Card My Yard.
