What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Carbones Pizzeria Franchise Disclosure Document, Carbones Pizzeria has the right to unilaterally modify or change the Manual(s). While the franchise agreement itself requires written modification signed by both the franchisor and franchisee to be valid, this does not apply to the Manual(s). This is an important distinction for prospective franchisees.

The Manual(s) likely contain the detailed operating procedures, standards, and specifications that Carbones Pizzeria franchisees must follow. Because Carbones Pizzeria can change these manuals unilaterally, they can alter the franchisee's obligations and the way they must run their business at any time.

This is a fairly common practice in franchising, as it allows the franchisor to adapt to changing market conditions, improve efficiency, and maintain brand standards across all locations. However, it also means that franchisees must be prepared for potential changes to their operating procedures and associated costs. Franchisees should maintain open communication with Carbones Pizzeria to understand the reasons behind any changes and how they will impact their business.
