If you would like us to consider approving a supplier or an alternative item that we have not approved, or for which we have not revoked our approval, you must provide us with all information we request regarding the supplier or item. We will then have 30 days from the date you provide us the information to consider the supplier. We do not make our criteria available for approving suppliers or items. We do not charge a fee for our investigation or approval. We will not consider approving a supplier or item for which we only have a single supplier or item.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Carbones Pizzeria's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wants the company to consider approving a new supplier or an alternative item, they must provide all information Carbones Pizzeria requests regarding the supplier or item. After the franchisee provides the information, Carbones Pizzeria has 30 days to consider the supplier. However, the document states that Carbones Pizzeria does not make its criteria available for approving suppliers or items.
This means that while a franchisee can suggest a new supplier, the approval process is at the discretion of Carbones Pizzeria. The franchisee will need to gather and submit whatever information Carbones Pizzeria asks for, but the specific criteria used for evaluation remain undisclosed. This lack of transparency could make it difficult for a franchisee to anticipate what information is most important or to understand why a supplier was rejected.
Carbones Pizzeria will not consider approving a supplier or item for which they only have a single supplier or item. This suggests that Carbones Pizzeria prefers to have multiple approved suppliers for each product to ensure a competitive market and avoid reliance on a single source. This policy could benefit franchisees by potentially leading to better pricing and more reliable supply chains. Prospective franchisees should inquire about the typical types of information requested for supplier approval and the factors that most heavily influence the decision.
