Before Carbones Pizzeria signs the Franchise Agreement, what must happen with the site?

According to Carbones Pizzeria's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, before the Franchise Agreement is signed, the site selected by the franchisee for their restaurant must be reviewed and approved by Carbones Pizzeria. The FDD specifies that the site must be approved before Carbones Pizzeria will sign the Franchise Agreement and approve the issuance of a franchise.

Carbones Pizzeria does not provide assistance in site selection; this is the franchisee's responsibility. However, Carbones Pizzeria may consult with the franchisee on the proposed location if the franchisee has questions. In determining whether to approve a site, Carbones Pizzeria reviews whether the site is located in a busy commercial area within a city or community, the availability of ingress and egress to the site, available places for signage, parking, and the size of the actual site.

This means that a prospective Carbones Pizzeria franchisee needs to identify a location that meets Carbones Pizzeria's criteria and obtain their approval before finalizing the franchise agreement. The franchisee is responsible for conforming the premises to local ordinances and building codes, as well as obtaining all required permits. The franchisee also has 120 days from signing the Franchise Agreement to secure the approved site for their Restaurant.
