What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Carbones Pizzeria Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee does not have an owner involved in the operation of the restaurant on a full-time basis, they must appoint an operations manager. This operations manager is required to be involved in the restaurant's operation on a full-time basis. This requirement ensures that the Carbones Pizzeria franchise maintains consistent management and oversight, even if the owner is not directly present full-time.

Furthermore, each owner of the Carbones Pizzeria franchise, along with all operations managers or others with management responsibility, must successfully complete the franchisor's initial training program. This training is provided at no additional cost to the franchisee, although the franchisee is responsible for covering the costs and expenses for their owners and employees to attend. This initial training must be completed before the restaurant opens to the public, ensuring that the operations manager is well-prepared to manage the restaurant according to the Carbone System.

This requirement highlights the importance Carbones Pizzeria places on active management and adherence to their operational standards. By mandating a full-time operations manager when the owner is not full-time, Carbones Pizzeria aims to maintain quality control and consistency across all franchise locations. Prospective franchisees should consider this when evaluating their ability to manage the franchise, either personally or through a qualified operations manager.
