What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 FDD, the Carbones Pizzeria franchisee is responsible for all costs and expenses associated with attending additional training programs. While Carbones Pizzeria may, at its sole option, make available and even require attendance at additional training programs to instruct the franchisee and their staff on changes to the Carbone System, the franchisee bears the financial burden. This includes costs and expenses for the franchisee's owners and employees to attend the training.
Carbones Pizzeria may charge a fee for the training itself, which must be paid prior to attendance. The training will be conducted at locations designated by Carbones Pizzeria. It is important to note that neither the franchisee nor their representatives will receive any compensation or reimbursement from Carbones Pizzeria for any services performed or expenses incurred during any training period or seminar.
This arrangement is fairly typical in franchising, where franchisees generally cover their own training-related expenses. Prospective Carbones Pizzeria franchisees should factor in these potential training costs when budgeting for their franchise, considering that additional training may be required by the franchisor to keep the franchise up-to-date with the Carbone System.
