What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Carbones Pizzeria's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must purchase the franchisor's required point-of-sale system to track sales and manage financial information. The monthly fee for this system ranges from $300 to $500. This fee is in addition to the initial cost to acquire the system, which ranges between $5,000 and $10,000.
Neither Carbones Pizzeria, its affiliates, nor any third party is obligated to provide ongoing maintenance, repairs, upgrades, or updates to the point-of-sale system. However, Carbones Pizzeria has the right to require franchisees to upgrade, update, or acquire new technology during the term of the Franchise Agreement. The FDD does not specify any annual costs for optional or required maintenance, updating, upgrading, or support contracts for the system.
Carbones Pizzeria will have independent access to the information in the franchisee's point-of-sale system, with no limits on their right to access this information. Franchisees must maintain their system and assist Carbones Pizzeria in automatically uploading this information. This level of access is fairly typical in franchising, allowing the franchisor to monitor sales data and ensure brand consistency.
