What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 FDD, Carbones Pizzeria maintains the "Carbone's Pizza Advertising Fund". Franchisees are required to contribute to this fund by paying an "Advertising Fee" of one percent (1%) of their monthly Gross Sales, which is paid at the same time as their royalty payment. However, this advertising fee is not applied to Gross Sales exceeding $2,000,000 in any calendar year.

Carbones Pizzeria has the discretion to use the monies in the Carbone's Pizza Advertising Fund for various purposes that promote the Carbone System and its Names and Marks. These activities include creating, producing, and placing consumer advertising across different media channels such as television, radio, internet, magazines, and social media. The fund can also be used for purchasing marketing-related technology platforms, conducting market research, and managing public relations activities, including retaining public relations firms.

Furthermore, the advertising fund can cover the costs of administering advertising programs, providing in-house staff assistance, and organizing local and regional promotions. This broad usage policy gives Carbones Pizzeria flexibility in how it supports the brand and its franchisees through marketing and advertising initiatives. Franchisees should be aware that the advertising fees are mandatory and contribute to a collective effort to enhance the brand's presence and market reach.
