Before you open your Restaurant, we will:
- (1) Review and either approve or disapprove the site you have selected for your Restaurant. The site must be approved before we will sign the Franchise Agreement and approve the issuance of a franchise.
- (2) Designate your territory (Franchise Agreement, Section 3).
- (3) Provide you with our prototypical design package (Franchise Agreement, Section 8) and approve or disapprove your design package if different from the one we provided to you (Franchise Agreement, Section 8).
- (4) Provide you access to our operations manual that contains mandatory and suggested specifications, standards and procedures (the "Operations Manual") (Franchise Agreement, Section 8). The Operations Manual consists of one or more manuals, technical bulletins or other written materials available electronically and may be modified by us periodically. The Operations Manual currently contains approximately 474 pages. A copy of the Table of Contents of the Operations Manual is attached to this Disclosure Document as Exhibit C.
- (5) Consult with you on the type of equipment and other furnishings for your Restaurant.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Carbones Pizzeria's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor must review and either approve or disapprove the site selected for the Restaurant. The site must be approved before Carbones Pizzeria will sign the Franchise Agreement and approve the issuance of a franchise.
Carbones Pizzeria does not provide any particular assistance in selecting a location for the Restaurant, as this is the franchisee's responsibility. However, Carbones Pizzeria may consult with the franchisee on the proposed location if the franchisee has questions. Carbones Pizzeria does not select the site, nor do they guarantee that any particular site will produce any particular results.
When determining whether to approve a site, Carbones Pizzeria reviews whether the site is located in a busy commercial area within a city or community. They also review the availability of ingress and egress to the site, available places for signage, parking, and the size of the actual site. The franchisee must secure the site Carbones Pizzeria has approved for the Restaurant within 120 days of signing the Franchise Agreement.
