What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Carbones Pizzeria's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to record all voided sales within the Point of Sale (POS) system. This ensures accurate tracking of sales data and helps maintain financial transparency between the franchisee and franchisor.
The POS system sales data, or any previous continuous cash register tapes, must be maintained for each week and preserved for at least five years. This data should be kept in a condition that allows Carbones Pizzeria or its representatives to easily identify the week and year to which the data relates during any examination of the franchisee's records. This requirement ensures that historical sales data is readily available for audits or reviews.
Carbones Pizzeria also has independent direct access to all data within the POS system and may access this data at any time. The franchisee is expected to assist in facilitating this access. This direct access allows Carbones Pizzeria to monitor sales trends, verify royalty payments, and ensure compliance with the franchise agreement. These measures are typical in franchising to protect the brand and ensure consistent reporting across all locations.
