What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Carbones Pizzeria Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to assist Carbones Pizzeria in automatically uploading information from their point-of-sale (POS) system. Carbones Pizzeria will have independent access to the information in the franchisee's POS system, and there are no limits on their right to access this information.
This means that as a Carbones Pizzeria franchisee, you must maintain your POS system and provide assistance to ensure that Carbones Pizzeria can automatically upload data from it. This requirement ensures that Carbones Pizzeria can monitor sales, manage financial data, and maintain oversight of the franchise operations.
The FDD also states that the cost to acquire the required POS system ranges from $5,000 to $10,000, with an additional monthly fee of $300 to $500. The franchisee is responsible for these costs. Furthermore, neither Carbones Pizzeria, its affiliates, nor any third party is obligated to provide ongoing maintenance, repairs, upgrades, or updates to the system. Carbones Pizzeria retains the right to require franchisees to upgrade or acquire new technology during the term of the Franchise Agreement, potentially incurring further costs for the franchisee.
