What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Carbones Pizzeria's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee has the option to renew their franchise agreement for an additional ten years. To do so, the franchisee must meet several conditions, including paying a renewal fee of $1,500. This Renewal Fee must be paid at the time the franchisee provides written notice of their intent to renew the franchise.
This notice must be given to Carbones Pizzeria not less than 180 days and not more than 365 days before the expiration of the initial ten-year term. Meeting this deadline is crucial, as failure to provide timely notice could result in the franchisee losing their renewal option.
In addition to the renewal fee and advance notice, the franchisee must not be in violation of any terms of the existing franchise agreement, must execute the then-current form of the franchise agreement, and must update their restaurant to meet all of Carbones Pizzeria's current requirements at the time of renewal. These stipulations ensure that only franchisees in good standing who are willing to adhere to the updated standards of the Carbones Pizzeria system are granted the opportunity to continue operating under the brand.
