If you would like us to consider approving a supplier or an alternative item that we have not approved, or for which we have not revoked our approval, you must provide us with all information we request regarding the supplier or item. We will then have 30 days from the date you provide us the information to consider the supplier. We do not make our criteria available for approving suppliers or items. We do not charge a fee for our investigation or approval. We will not consider approving a supplier or item for which we only have a single supplier or item.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Carbones Pizzeria's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wants Carbones Pizzeria to consider approving a new supplier or an alternative item, the franchisee must provide all requested information about the supplier or item. Carbones Pizzeria then has 30 days from the date of receiving the information to consider the supplier. Carbones Pizzeria does not disclose its criteria for approving suppliers or items and does not charge a fee for the investigation or approval process.
However, Carbones Pizzeria will not consider approving a supplier or item if the company only has a single supplier for that particular item. This restriction ensures that Carbones Pizzeria maintains a level of control over its supply chain and product quality, which is crucial for maintaining the consistency of its brand.
This policy has significant implications for franchisees. While it allows for some flexibility in suggesting alternative suppliers or items, the ultimate decision rests with Carbones Pizzeria. The franchisee must dedicate time and resources to gather the required information, with no guarantee of approval. The 30-day review period could also potentially cause delays if a franchisee is seeking a quicker solution to a supply issue. It is important to note that the FDD does not specify what information Carbones Pizzeria might request, so a prospective franchisee should clarify this during their due diligence.
