What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Carbones Pizzeria Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees or their representatives will not receive compensation or reimbursement for any services performed or expenses incurred during any training period or seminar. This means that while the initial training program itself is provided at no additional cost, the franchisee is responsible for covering all costs and expenses for themselves and their employees to attend the training.
This policy extends to additional training programs that Carbones Pizzeria may require franchisees and their staff to attend for updates to the Carbone System. Franchisees are responsible for all costs and expenses associated with attending these additional training sessions as well. The cost for the training itself must be paid before attending.
This lack of compensation for training-related expenses is a notable factor for prospective franchisees to consider. These costs can include travel, accommodation, meals, and wages for the franchisee and their staff while they are in training. Franchisees should factor these expenses into their initial investment and operating budget. It is fairly common in the franchise industry for franchisors not to reimburse franchisees for training expenses, as the training is considered an investment in the franchisee's business and the standardization of the brand.
