Is approval from Carbones Pizzeria required for the restaurant location before the Franchise Agreement is signed?

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We do not provide any particular assistance in selecting a location for your Restaurant. That is your responsibility. You must have the location approved by us before the Franchise Agreement will be signed. We may consult with you on the proposed location if you have questions, but we do not select the site, nor do we guarantee that any particular site will produce any particular results. In determining whether to approve a site we review whether the site is located in a busy commercial area within a city or community. We also review availability of ingress and egress to the site, available places for signage, parking and size of the actual site. You must secure the site we have approved for your Restaurant within 120 days of signing the Franchise Agreement

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Carbones Pizzeria's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, you must have your restaurant location approved by them before the Franchise Agreement is signed. While Carbones Pizzeria may consult with you on the proposed location, the responsibility of selecting the site rests solely with you. Carbones Pizzeria does not guarantee that any particular site will produce specific results.

When determining whether to approve a site, Carbones Pizzeria reviews several factors. These include whether the site is in a busy commercial area within a city or community, the availability of ingress and egress, the presence of signage, parking, and the size of the site itself.

After the Franchise Agreement is signed, you have 120 days to secure the approved site for your Carbones Pizzeria restaurant. It is your responsibility to ensure the premises conform to local ordinances and building codes and to obtain all required permits. Carbones Pizzeria provides a prototypical design package, but you are responsible for all construction, remodeling, and decorating of your restaurant.
