What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Caption By Hyatt Franchise Disclosure Document, in addition to IT Project Management Services, Caption By Hyatt also provides PMS hosting services.
The FDD specifies that franchisees must use the Opera PMS (Property Management System) at their hotels. Caption By Hyatt requires franchisees to sign a Hosting Services Agreement and engage Caption By Hyatt to host the PMS remotely. Caption By Hyatt will provide the services necessary to install access to the PMS at the hotel under the Franchise Agreement. Additionally, franchisees must sign an agreement with Caption By Hyatt's designated supplier to provide connectivity services and training for the PMS.
However, if a Caption By Hyatt hotel is located in Hawaii or Puerto Rico, the franchisee may be permitted to self-host the PMS at the hotel, but this is only allowed under certain circumstances and requires Caption By Hyatt's approval.
